Friends, please meet Amanda Elizabeth Janet Muise, AKA Andi Muise. The earth was blessed when this Canadian beauty was born on January 12, 1987, in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. She had dreams of becoming a model from a very young age & we think she made the right career choice…
Muise was discovered at the age of 14 in a Barrie Mall by Michèle Miller, owner of the International Model Management agency, who also discovered Jessica Stam. Muise packed up and moved to New York City at the age of 17. It was not long before she was modeling for a very high profile names like Emporio Armani and FCUK.
At 5’9″ tall, this almond-eyed beauty’s Caucasian and Native American features quickly got the attention of designers and magazines editors the world over. Andi became the face for companies such as Nordstroms, Bloomingdale’s, Intimissimi, Pantene, Kenneth Cole and Urban Outfitters, and within the pages of reputable publications like UK Vogue, GQ and Allure.
In 2005, Andi’s worldwide profile increased exponentially due to her contribution in Victoria’s Secret’s 10th annual fashion show. She has walked in each consecutive show since, also being featured in their catalogs and as their “Fit Model” for the 2007 show.
Andi has since walked the runway in shows for such fashion designers as Abaete, Lacoste, Lela Rose, Yigal Azrouel, Nanette Lepore, Oscar de la Renta, Trovata, and Dolce & Gabbana. Muise even made an appearance on Heidi Klum’s Project Runway, walking for designer Santino Rice in the season finale. After her career as a model, you will be disappointed to know she would like to become a shoe and jewelry designer.
For all of you Geography nuts, North Bay Metropolitan Area has a population of around 63,424. Apart from First Nations tribes, voyageurs and surveyors, there was little activity in the Lake Nipissing area until the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1882. It was then that John Ferguson decided that the north bay of Lake Nipissing was a promising spot for settlement. North Bay was incorporated as a town in 1891.
North Bay grew through a strong lumbering sector, mining and the three railways in the early days. The town benefited from strong community leadership. In 1919, John Ferguson was elected mayor of North Bay and continued to serve as mayor until 1922. North Bay was incorporated as a city in August 1925.
On March 17, 2007, North Bay was announced as the winner of 2007 Kraft Hockeyville contest. North Bay received $50,000 to upgrade their local arena, Memorial Gardens, and also hosted an NHL pre-season game between the New York Islanders and the Atlanta Thrashers.
Very exciting news…
Oh, but here’s a little video for you kids of Andi modeling for a British lingerie brand…ENJOY!
