This recent Black Friday was insane on Fairfax Ave near the West Hollywood area. Thousands of people crammed the street to line up in front of the local shops and boutiques. Almost a thousand people showed up for the Odd Future store opening and well-over 300 people camped out all night for the re-opening of the newly remodeled and very improved Diamond Supply Co. store.

Fyasko is lucky enough to welcome the one and only Dave Ortiz (DQM / Dave’s Ware House) to be our eyes and ears on the streets of New York City.
So, here it goes – words from the man himself…
“Well I should let you people know who am I right? David Ortiz. Not the baseball player they call Big Papi – you know, the guy who’s on the Red Sox (side note I don’t like Boston). Nah, I’m just a real dude from New York born and raised in Brooklyn East New York section. I’ve worked for Zoo York skateboards then later opened a sneaker boutique called Dave’s Quality M3AT. I just recently opened up a new shop called Dave’s Wear House located in Chinatown.
I walk around and shoot photos of the city I remembered as a kid. And I’m gonna share this rare point of view of NYC cuz it’s slowly fading away and if I can hit you with some real meaningful shit and you like it, I hope it makes you love this place as much as I do. Enjoy…..”

Last Saturday, November 19, graffiti artist POSE unveiled his new collection of works titled ‘Whitewash’. This is his second exhibition at Known Gallery, and his most cohesive to date. POSE showed 15 new works in the main gallery.
The work is rendered in his signature style—aggressive, hand-painted collages of pop-culture icons and ephemera—but feature deeper abstractions and new mediums. “I have six paintings on Plexiglass that were kind of an experiment,” POSE explains. “I wanted to be challenged by a new medium and process.”
